Gamified Interactive Video:

Murder in Soup City

How do you motivate employees to take part in social and environmental campaigns as part of a corporate sustainability program? You educate and inspire them with entertaining and insightful storytelling that puts them at the centre of the action.

As Content Director for social impact startup Muuvment, I’ve researched, written, produced, and creative directed various interactive videos for their online sustainability platform. “Murder in Soup City” is the most fully featured of them all, delivering a gamified experience that mixes both video and HTML elements.

Story setup and crime scene: test of observational skills

Created for Muuvment’s Marine Plastics campaign, I conceived this interactive story as a noir thriller, putting the audience in the position of a rookie cop tasked with solving the murder of a whale in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, aka Soup City.
